Renowned Pakistani writer, actor, and director Yasir Hussain recently expressed his strong opinions about Indian and Pakistani television dramas. In an interview with Something Haute, he didn’t hold back in calling Indian TV shows of ‘ghatiya’ (poor) quality, even going so far as to label them ‘poison.’

Yasir Hussain didn’t spare Pakistani dramas either, expressing dissatisfaction with the overall state of the entertainment industry in Pakistan. He went on to say that he wouldn’t want his son to pursue a career in this field, criticizing the consistent offering of subpar work to actors.

When asked about the popularity of Pakistani shows in India, Yasir Hussain took a dig at Indian television, stating, “Have you seen their dramas? Nations with low-quality dramas are watching our shows. Who else is watching Pakistani dramas? Only those people are watching our dramas whose content is worse.”
