In the early hours of Sunday morning (April 14th), gunfire erupted outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai. Police have obtained concrete information regarding those responsible for the shooting. The responsibility for the gunfire lies with Anmol Bishnoi, Goldie Barad, and Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence gang.

Meanwhile, the shooter firing outside Salman’s residence goes by the name of Kalu, who is linked with the Rohit Godara gang. CCTV footage has captured both assailants. One is seen wearing a black and white T-shirt, while the other wears a red T-shirt. Additionally, CCTV footage from February 29, 2024, from a dhaba in Rohatak, Haryana, shows the face of the shooter Kalu, which matches the face of the individual captured by CCTV outside Salman’s residence in Mumbai. There’s speculation that Kalu, alias Vishal Rahul, is indeed the one who fired outside Salman Khan’s house.
Prior to this incident, in a Facebook post, Anmol Bishnoi had taken responsibility. Earlier, in another Facebook post from America, Anmol Bishnoi admitted that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the firing at Salman Khan’s house due to an old enmity.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang member Kalu is a notable shooter from Rajasthan. He is associated with Rohit Godara, connected with the Lawrence gang. Recently, Kalu was involved in the murder of a scrap businessman, Sachin Goda, in Rohatak, for which CCTV footage and a post claiming responsibility for the murder were released on social media.
The case has been transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch, with ten teams engaged in investigating the matter. More than a dozen CCTV footages have been scrutinized by the police.
After the shooting, the shooters reportedly boarded a slow local train to Borivali from platform number 1 at Bandra station. Additionally, the bike used in the shooting was found a kilometer away from Salman’s house near Mount Mary Church.
Salman Khan’s security has been enhanced following the incident. He had received threats of being killed by Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Barad gangs. The responsibility for this incident was claimed through a social media post by the Lawrence Bishnoi group.
Salman Khan has been residing in the ground floor apartment of Galaxy for the past 40 years. He resides alone in a 1BHK L-shaped apartment, while his parents reside on the first floor of the 8-storey Galaxy Apartment.
In March 2023, Salman Khan’s security was increased after receiving threats from Lawrence Bishnoi. He was provided Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government.

NIA had stated that Salman Khan was at the top of the list of ten people whom Lawrence Bishnoi gang intended to kill. After receiving threats, his security was enhanced, with 11 personnel accompanying him at all times, including a commando and two PSOs.
Prior threats include an unknown letter received by Salman’s father, Salim Khan, in June 2022, and an attempted break-in at his farmhouse in January 2024.
Salman Khan recently announced his next film ‘Sikander’ to be released on Eid next year. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film promises to be a blockbuster.
