Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 Sets New Records with 226 Million Viewers

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 10 has taken the nation by storm, breaking its own viewership records. The Star Sports Network, the official broadcaster of PKL, has announced a staggering 226 million viewers for the first 90 matches. This marks a remarkable 17 percent increase compared to Season 9, making kabaddi the only sport, apart from cricket, to cross the 200-million mark multiple times.

The broadcast also recorded an impressive 38 billion minutes of watch time, a 15 percent rise from Season 9 during the same period. Television Rating (TVR) has seen a significant 22 percent increase, indicating the growing popularity of kabaddi among Indian sports enthusiasts.

What’s more, PKL Season 10 has already surpassed last year’s viewership figures, and there’s still the excitement of playoffs and finals to come. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on 26th February 2024 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, with the Finals set to take place on 1st March 2024.

A spokesperson from Star Sports expressed gratitude to the passionate fans for their support and emphasized the league’s commitment to delivering an outstanding viewing experience. The Pro Kabaddi League has become the second biggest sporting property in India, providing a stage for emerging talents to showcase their skills alongside global icons.
