Kawasaki has introduced the 2024 Z650RS in India, priced at ₹6.99 lakh. 

The key update for this model is the inclusion of traction control, enhancing safety on wet or gravel-covered roads. The motorcycle retains its retro styling while featuring a modern 649cc parallel-twin engine delivering 67 bhp power through a 6-speed gearbox.

The Z650RS boasts a tubular diamond frame, telescopic forks at the front, and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The KTRS (Kawasaki Traction Control System) offers two traction modes for the rider’s preference. The motorcycle is available only in Metallic Matte Carbon Gray in India, with additional color options in the global market.

Its distinctive design includes a circular headlamp, twin analogue dials with a central digital display, and a teardrop fuel tank. The familiar 649cc liquid-cooled engine, also found in the Ninja 650 and Versys 650, generates 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,700 rpm.

The Z650RS comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slip clutch. The front suspension employs telescopic forks with 125 mm of travel, while the rear monoshock offers 130 mm of travel. Braking duties are handled by dual 272mm discs at the front and a 186mm disc at the rear.

Prior to the Z650RS, Kawasaki launched the Eliminator 500, priced at ₹5.62 lakh. This cruiser model features a low-slung silhouette suitable for touring, powered by a 51cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine derived from the Ninja 400. With 44 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 46 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, it utilizes a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slip clutch.
