In a super cool cricket match, Australian player Glenn Maxwell did something really special during the second T20I against West Indies at Adelaide Oval. Maxwell scored an unbeaten 120 runs, which is just as awesome as what India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, did before.

Maxwell’s fantastic play helped Australia reach a huge score of 241 for four. The game didn’t start perfectly, with Jason Holder sending Josh Inglis back to the pavilion early. Even though Mitchell Marsh and David Warner left the game after scoring a bit, Maxwell took control and hit a bunch of boundaries off every bowler. He got to his fifty in just 25 balls!
Teaming up with Marcus Stoinis, Maxwell led the way, and together they scored 82 runs. Stoinis tried to score faster but got out. Then, Tim David joined Maxwell, and they finished the game together in a stylish way.
During this partnership, Maxwell got his fifth century in T20Is, tying with Rohit Sharma on the all-time list. Maxwell has the most centuries without getting out (5), while Rohit has three.
Maxwell’s unbeaten 120 also broke Suryakumar Yadav’s record for the highest score by a No. 4 batter in T20I cricket. Suryakumar had the record with 117 against England in 2022. Maxwell’s score is also the highest against West Indies in T20Is, beating Faf du Plessis’s 119 in 2015.
Maxwell was really happy because his parents were there to watch his amazing game. He said it was good fun and that he always relies on his fast hands. The pitch in Adelaide was good, and Maxwell’s positive play not only made fans happy but also set new records, making it a special day for Australian cricket.
