Apple’s annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) is just around the corner, and everyone is buzzing about Apple’s announcements, especially the potential unveiling of iOS 18. According to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, this upcoming iOS could be a game-changer for iPhones.

Unlike the small changes we saw in iOS 16 and 17, iOS 18, codenamed “Crystal,” is rumored to be a total revamp. It might take design cues from VisionOS, introducing circular icons, translucent UI elements, and a revamped control center for a modern look and feel.

But it’s not just about looks; iOS 18 is expected to bring a bunch of new features to improve user experience and productivity. One of the most exciting additions is the integration of AI capabilities into native apps and services. While iOS 18 may not introduce standalone AI features like some other brands, it’s likely to use AI to enhance existing apps. Following iOS 17’s groundwork, iOS 18 might bring AI-generated transcripts in Apple Podcasts and improve Siri’s conversational abilities.

Reports also suggest that iOS 18 will enhance first-party apps like Mail and Notes with generative AI capabilities. This means users might soon enjoy features like automatic summarization and translation directly within these apps, making things more convenient and productive.
