In the 2014 episode, Alia was joined by fellow actor Parineeti Chopra. When host Karan Johar asked about their relationship status, Alia confessed that she was okay being single but felt a bit down during holidays surrounded by couples. That’s when she dropped the bomb, saying, “Valentine’s Day is really overrated!”
Karan, being his usual candid self, suggested that Alia’s opinion might be influenced by not having a boyfriend at that time. To this, Alia clarified, “No! Valentine’s Day and New Year’s. Once my boyfriend took me out on Valentine’s Day, and he didn’t talk to me the whole time. So I think it is overrated.”
Curious about the details, Karan and Parineeti pressed for more information. Alia shared, “Didn’t do anything, we were just small. We were young.” Parineeti lightened the mood with a joke, saying, “I think that’s why he didn’t talk to you because you didn’t do anything!”
Fast forward to the present, ten years later, and Alia Bhatt is now happily married to actor Ranbir Kapoor. The couple tied the knot in April 2022 after dating for some years during the filming of Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva. Alia revealed her pregnancy in June 2022 and welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Raha, on November 6th of the same year.

In recent achievements, Alia clinched her fifth Best Actress Filmfare award for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. Her upcoming projects include Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, and Love and War, a collaboration with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where she shares the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
