The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, where eight matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place. The 34,000-seat stadium, designed by the renowned Populous team (known for projects like Narendra Modi Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium), is set to host the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan.

The stadium’s unique drop-in square wicket, similar to those at Adelaide Oval and Eden Park, is currently being curated in Florida and is scheduled to be transported to New York in early May for installation.
Geoff Allardice, the ICC Chief Executive, expressed excitement about the unveiling, considering it a crucial milestone leading up to the largest ICC event ever. He emphasized the collaborative effort with world-class suppliers to deliver a modular stadium, ensuring a memorable experience for players and fans during the eight matches in June.
The T20 World Cup schedule, previously announced by the ICC, spans from June 1 to June 29 and will be hosted in the West Indies and the United States of America. The tournament opener on June 1 features a face-off between the United States of America and Canada, with the final scheduled to be held in Barbados on June 29.

India kicks off their campaign against Ireland on June 5, while the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan clash is slated for June 9 in New York. Group A, which includes India and Pakistan, alongside the USA, Ireland, and Canada, promises thrilling encounters for cricket enthusiasts.
