Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently shared insights into the earnings of Bollywood actors during an interview on Unfiltered by Samdish. The actor, known for his versatile roles, gave a ballpark figure of approximately Rs 10 crore for every film, emphasizing that he does not engage in negotiations to increase his remuneration.
When asked about the amount actors make, Nawazuddin responded with a simple, “They earn a lot.” Pressed further on whether it’s around 10 crores or more, he replied, “Somewhere around that.” The actor revealed that he doesn’t negotiate much, stating that the industry pays actors what they deserve. He believes that if you negotiate, there’s a chance you’ll be asked if you truly deserve that amount.
Nawazuddin shared that he takes on a few projects solely for financial gains, enabling him to work on passion projects without charging any fees. He candidly tells makers that he’s doing certain films for the money, allowing him the flexibility to take on projects like “Manto” without a fee.
The “Sacred Games” actor also mentioned his decision to step away from smaller roles in films. Even if offered a hefty sum like Rs 25 crore, Nawazuddin asserted that he wouldn’t accept a small role. He expressed his stance by saying, “Now, even if you offer me Rs 25 crore, I won’t do a small role.”
