Citroen C3 Crash test safety: Find out if it's safe or not!

When it comes to car safety, recent tests by Global NCAP have shown some surprising results. While some cars like the Tata Safari, Tata Nexon, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia did really well with high safety ratings, others didn’t fare so great. This includes cars like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, WagonR, Ignis, and S-Presso, which got low scores.

But the biggest disappointment lately is the Citroen E-C3, an electric car. It got a zero-star rating for protecting adults in crashes from Global NCAP. This is quite concerning.

On the other hand, cars like the Tata Safari, Tata Nexon, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia got top scores, earning five stars for keeping both adults and children safe.

Global NCAP looks at many things in their tests, like how well a car protects you in different kinds of crashes and if it has important safety features like electronic stability control (ESC). Sadly, the Citroen E-C3 doesn’t have ESC, which makes its safety performance even worse.

Global NCAP didn’t hold back in criticizing the company behind the Citroen E-C3, Stellantis, calling its safety performance ‘appalling’. Even though the car has airbags, the lack of ESC is a big issue.

The Citroen E-C3 is priced between Rs 12.70 lakh and Rs 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and it competes with cars like the Tata Punch.ev. It runs on a permanent magnet synchronous motor (57PS/143Nm) and a 29.2kWh lithium-ion air-cooled battery pack, claiming to go 320km on one full charge.
