Amitabh Bachchan recently took to Instagram to express his pride and admiration for his son, Abhishek Bachchan, following the success of his movie Ghoomer at a recent award show. The film, directed by R Balki, secured three awards, and Amitabh couldn’t be happier.

Sharing the poster of Ghoomer featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, Amitabh wrote a touching note on Instagram. He conveyed his prayers and love to Abhishek, expressing how proud he is of his son. Amitabh emphasized that Abhishek is truly deserving of the accolades, not just for Ghoomer but for his past, present, and future achievements.
Abhishek, in response to his father’s post, shared hands emojis, showing his gratitude. Fans and industry members flooded the comment section with praise, with one person describing the movie as “awesome” and a “must-watch.”
Ghoomer, released on August 18, 2023, stars Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, Angad Bedi, and Shabana Azmi. The film revolves around the life of a coach, played by Abhishek, whose journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a paraplegic sportsperson portrayed by Saiyami Kher. Their story unfolds amidst societal challenges and personal struggles, guided by director R Balki’s distinctive storytelling.
Amitabh Bachchan had previously shared his genuine review of Ghoomer after watching it. He expressed how impressed he was with the film, describing it as “simply incredible.” Amitabh’s review highlighted the emotional depth of the story, commending the portrayal of the game of cricket, the tale of a girl with ambitions, and the impact of family.
