A new year brings more time to cross some of the best shows on Netflix off your must-watch list. The streaming service has a massive collection of new and classic series, but with new shows coming to Netflix throughout the month, you don’t have any time to waste.
Looking for a romantic drama? Check out the Bridgerton spinoff, Queen Charlotte. Need to laugh? That ’90s Show will have you covered. Is curling up on your couch and watching hours and hours of a mysterious thriller more your thing? Don’t worry, Netflix will give you more than one option for that craving, too. Since the streamer often keeps its release-date plans hidden until the very last minute, we’ve tried to make life easy for you—by rounding up our most anticipated Netflix series of 2023.
Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope has a chance to become one of the most interesting shows Netflix has ever released. The Giancarlo Esposito-starring heist drama is structured in a non-linear order, meaning that viewers can watch the episodes in any order they choose. (Leading up the finale, of course.) Ginny and Georgia
Don’t lie to us: you have a guilty-pleasure Netflix watch. If it’s Ginny and Georgia, know that Season Two is on its way. Mother-daughter duo Ginny and Georgia are back, and they’re about to cause even more trouble. (Somehow.) The second season promises to be just as wild as the first, as the girls move to a new town after living life on the run. But will they actually get a chance to settle in, or will their past come back to tear everything apart? We’re betting on the latter.—Bria McNeal
That ’90s Show
Grab a beer (or a blunt!) and turn on That ’90s Show for a blast of nostalgia. Next year, the Formans will welcome you back to their iconic basement—and yes, it looks just like you remember. This spinoff of That ’70s Show will follow Eric and Donna’s daughter, Lei Forman. She’ll stay with her grandparents, Red and Kitty, for the summer, where she’ll make her own memories with a new gaggle of friends.—B.M.
Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre
Junji Ito, the Japanese master of horror manga, has developed a cult following over the course of his career, thanks to his terrifying illustrations and inventive short stories. The author selected 20 spine-tingling tales to be adapted in an animated anthology series (for the first time) in Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre.—J.R.

Lockwood & Co. follows the adventures of two teen boys who recruit a young psychic to create a ghost-hunting agency. (Called… Lockwood & Co.) The duo originally plans to hunt ghosts around London and ward off dangerous spirits—but things get complicated when they uncover a mystery that could change the world as they know it.—B.M.

If you’re not already immersed in Joe Goldberg’s twisted universe, you have roughly a month and a half to catch up. Season Four of the stalker-thriller You lands on Netflix this February—and it’s picking up right where Season Three left off. In the next chapter of You, Goldberg, a charming stalker, flees to London for reasons I won’t spoil right now. Just know: he’s left a trail of ghosts in Los Angeles that might come back to haunt him. If not, his obsessive nature (and nosiness) is sure to cause enough trouble on its own.—B.M.
The Witcher
Season Three of The Witcher will mark Henry Cavill’s final appearance as the monster slayer Geralt. Though there isn’t an official release window just yet, mid-2023 seems the best bet. After announcing his departure from the series to pursue a Superman return (which didn’t pan out either), Cavill will look to cap his time on The Witcher as the series enters its most popular phase. A spinoff miniseries starring Michelle Yeoh titled, The Witcher: Blood Origin, will run in early 2023 as well, following its Christmas Day premiere.—J.R.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
Love will be in the air once again in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story—an upcoming limited series that will focus on the young Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence. As fans wait for Season Three of the beloved, campy period romance, Shonda Rimes hopes to keep the Bridgerton bees buzzing with an eight-episode prequel.—J.R.
