Realme just launched its new smartphones, the Realme 12+ 5G and Realme 12 5G, in India. These phones are designed to make a strong impact in the mid-range smartphone market. Let’s take a closer look at their key features.

Realme 12+ 5G:
The Realme 12+ 5G boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Powering this device is a robust 5,000mAh battery supported by a super-fast 67W charger.
Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 octa-core chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and storage options of up to 256GB. The operating system is Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. Realme promises three years of security updates and two years of OS updates for this phone.
In the camera department, the Realme 12+ 5G introduces the segment’s first 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, it features an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP portrait sensor. For selfies, there’s a 16MP front camera.
Color options for the Realme 12+ 5G include Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige. It comes in two storage variants: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at ₹20,999, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, priced at ₹21,999.
Realme 12 5G:
The Realme 12 5G sports a slightly larger 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 950 nits. It also houses a 5,000mAh battery but comes with a 45W charger.
Under the hood, it uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The operating system and update promises remain the same as the Realme 12+ 5G.

In terms of photography, the Realme 12 5G features a powerful 108MP main lens and a 2MP portrait sensor. The front camera is an 8MP shooter.
Color options for the Realme 12 5G include Twilight Purple and Woodland Green. It comes in two storage variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at ₹16,999, and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, priced at ₹17,999.
