As we eagerly await the official debut and launch on January 16, Hyundai has given us a sneak peek into the exterior and interior of the much-anticipated Creta facelift. Tailored specifically for the Indian market, this revamped model promises major cosmetic upgrades, enhanced technology, and the reintroduction of the turbo-petrol engine.
Bookings for the new Creta facelift are now open, requiring a token amount of Rs 25,000. For those who have previously booked the outgoing model, there’s an exciting option to convert their bookings to the refreshed version.
Exterior Revamp:
The exterior updates are nothing short of comprehensive. The new face boasts an upright and boxy look with a redesigned grille, headlamp, and bumper assembly. A striking full-width LED light band, terminating with inverted L-shaped elements, adds a futuristic touch. The rectangular and vertically positioned main LED headlamp cluster on the bumper further enhances the bold aesthetic. The rear showcases a completely redesigned tailgate, full-width LED tail-lamps mirroring the front-end design, and a sturdier bumper. While side profile details are not yet revealed, expect a fresh set of alloy wheels.
Interior Elegance:
The interior upgrades are even more striking. The dashboard showcases a brand-new design featuring twin 10.25-inch connected screens, possibly similar to the Kia Seltos unit. The elegant dashboard design wraps around the screens seamlessly, and the passenger side AC vent is now integrated into a sleek gloss black horizontal band. The center console boasts redesigned central AC vents, a single band of physical buttons, and a touch panel for HVAC controls. Noteworthy additions include an ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, and other exciting features.
Engine Powerhouses:
Under the hood, the Creta facelift maintains its 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, coupled with a standard manual gearbox and optional CVT and torque converter gearboxes. Making a comeback is the turbo-petrol variant, featuring a 160hp, 1.5-litre engine, replacing the discontinued 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. Expect both manual and DCT gearbox options for the turbo-petrol variant.
